There are a number of scholarships and awards available to TAFE students
 
Are you enrolled or planning to enrol in a course delivered by TAFE NSW in the Hunter and Central Coast during 2018? Did you know that you may be eligible to apply for an Award or Scholarship to assist with payment of course fees and course related expenses?
 
The following Scholarships and Awards are open now:
 
Up to $500 available to support education and career opportunities for students from a non-English speaking background.
 
Up to $2,500 available through the purchase of resources, experiences and opportunities. Categories include: Culinary, Hospitality and Winemaking.

External Scholarships

TAFE NSW students may be eligible to apply for the following awards and scholarships administered by external organisations and Foundations.
 
Financial assistance to apprentices in NSW
 
Open to students from Year 10 through to TAFE and University who reside in the Cessnock local government area.
 
 
Jobs of Tomorrow Scholarships
NSW Government scholarship to encourage skills development in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
 
 
Recognise outstanding achievement in the vocational education and training sector.
 
Rheem Plumbing Grants
This scholarship is for those students committed to their plumbing apprenticeship but who are starting to feel the financial strain.
 
Royal Agricultural Society VET Scholarships
Supports individuals in NSW who demonstrate a passion for rural and commitment for any career that will ensure the future success of rural and regional NSW.
 
Smart and Skilled Fee-Free Scholarships
A government subsidy which covers the Smart and Skilled course fee for eligible young people (aged 15-30).

 
Young Carer Bursary Programme
To increase the opportunity for young carers to remain in, or return to, education or training.
