Maritime and Marine student
The fresh sea spray, huge merchant ships and the adventure of the seven seas. These are only a few reasons people are drawn to this industry, but there’s so much more to working in Maritime and Marine.

Newcastle Port is the largest port on the east coast of Australia, and one of the world’s largest export ports. There is no better way to learn the ins and outs of the Maritime industry than from the people who know it best.

TAFE NSW’s Hunter Maritime College is highly regarded in the industry and offers hands-on training so you can be confident on-the-job. Learn on the latest technology and develop important communication and problem-solving skills.
Our courses broadly cover both Marine Engineering and Maritime Operations.

According to the Australian Government’s Job Outlook, the weekly earnings for Marine Engineers are substantially higher than the national average.
