There are a number of scholarships and awards available to TAFE students
Are you enrolled or planning to enrol in a course delivered by TAFE NSW in the Hunter and Central Coast during 2018? Did you know that you may be eligible to apply for an Award or Scholarship to assist with payment of course fees and course related expenses? The following Scholarships and Awards are open now.

Crowne Plaza Scholarships
Enrolled in the Diploma of Event Management or Diploma of Hospitality Management.

MEMMES Scholarships
Enrolled in either a Certificate III in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering trade.

Neville Sawyer Business Scholarship
Students of Engineering, Information Technology/Computer and Science fields to undertake further studies.

Study Assistance Scholarships
For enrolled students who would benefit from financial support & encouragement.

Sonia Walkom Memorial Scholarship
Enrolled in the Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) at TAFE NSW Newcastle.

Together Today Award
Enrolled and studying in either the Diploma of Sustainability, Diploma of Environmental Monitoring and Technology, Advanced Diploma of Applied Environmental Management or Associate Degree of Applied Engineering (Renewable Energy Technologies) at TAFE NSW Newcastle and TAFE NSW Higher Education.

Zonta Club of Hunter Newcastle Scholarship
Enrolled in the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, Certificate IV in Ageing Support, Certificate IV in Disability, Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or the Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance at TAFE NSW Glendale.

External Scholarships

TAFE NSW students may be eligible to apply for the following awards and scholarships administered by external organisations and Foundations.
Australian Overseas Foundation Scholarship

Barrington Roberts Award
For Tourism, Travel and Hospitality students in TAFE NSW.
Financial assistance to apprentices in NSW
Open to students from Year 10 through to TAFE and University who reside in the Cessnock local government area.
Jobs of Tomorrow Scholarships
NSW Government scholarship to encourage skills development in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
Recognise outstanding achievement in the vocational education and training sector.
Open to TAFE NSW Commercial Cookery students to train overseas to broaden their education and strive for excellence.

Puggy Hunter Memorial Scholarship Scheme​
via the Australian College of Nursing (ACN). Available to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people who are studying a course in ATSI health work, allied health, dentistry/oral health, medicine, midwifery or nursing. 
Rheem Plumbing Grants
This scholarship is for those students committed to their plumbing apprenticeship but who are starting to feel the financial strain.
Royal Agricultural Society VET Scholarships
Supports individuals in NSW who demonstrate a passion for rural and commitment for any career that will ensure the future success of rural and regional NSW.
Smart and Skilled Fee-Free Scholarships
A government subsidy which covers the Smart and Skilled course fee for eligible young people (aged 15-30).

Young Carer Bursary Programme
To increase the opportunity for young carers to remain in, or return to, education or training.
