Visiting TAFE is a great way to get a feel for what it’s like before you decide to choose a career path. One of the best ways to learn is by doing, and that is exactly the philosophy behind our campus tours.
Available free to all schools across the Hunter and Central Coast, campus tours offer students the chance to visit training facilities at TAFE including practical workshops, labs, salons, clinics and kitchens, and meet industry experienced teachers who deliver TAFE training with a practical edge.
Campus tours can be organised for school groups of 10 or more at any of our 15 campuses across the Hunter, Newcastle and Central Coast regions, and can be tailored for your needs such as a trade or STEM.
School group tours include a walking tour of selected campus and career areas. Choose up to 5 sections to visit from our 17 career areas (dependent on availability at the campus of your choice), and can include optional presentations for students.
Tours are available between 10am and 2pm Monday to Friday, from February to November. Space is limited and bookings are essential.

Feedback from schools

“Although we were only a small group - all the teachers were keen to give us their time to talk about their course and their work. AMAZING! Such elaborate, real life classroom settings and this helped the students see what areas of study might suit what they want to do.”
“As a careers advisor I must say the students were impressed with what they saw and numerous said it had opened their eyes to other career options they had not previously considered.”
“The tour was fantastic and catered specifically to our needs. It is an extremely beneficial experience for both my students and myself. My students are better equipped to make career/education decisions and I now have more knowledge to guide students in navigating TAFE opportunities.”
