If you're experiencing difficulties in your life, if you're finding it hard to keep going with your course or if you're not sure you're in the right course to reach your goals, talk with a counsellor.
Free counselling is available to all students to help with:
- Educational choice or planning: Determining the most appropriate course or educational Planning in line with career goals.
- Educational problems: Resolution of study or course problems including assessment of abilities/achievements/motivation.
- Vocational and career choice: Suitable course choice, Retraining and career development:
- Personal problems including crisis management: Counselling on personal/psychological or social issues or concerns.
- Counsellors also run groups such as: Study Skills, career planning, assertiveness, stress management and drug/alcohol/ awareness.
You can also call in and collect brochures and information on topics of interest - no strings attached!
Our counsellors are friendly and approachable. They are available Monday to Friday, including some evenings by appointment.

A Counselling and Careers Service is available at each campus. To make an appointment contact the Counselling and Careers Centre nearest you.

Emergencies are things such as suicide attempts, psychiatric/emotional crisis, sexual assault, domestic violence, severe marital/family crisis.
