Sometimes personal issues can interfere with your ability to learn and complete assessments. TAFE is here to help you get the most out of your study. Students can make appointments with TAFE counsellors at any of our locations. You can talk about all kinds of situations including relationships, stress, depression, anxiety, conflict, self-esteem, alcohol or drugs, money, accommodation, harassment and complaints – knowing your privacy will be respected*.

  • Situations of child abuse or neglect.
  • If someone’s life is in danger, or if someone appears to be at risk of  personal harm (this can include you if you are under the influence of alcohol for example).
  • Courts of Law have the power to subpoena (request copies of) our records if you are involved in a court case in which your counselling sessions are somehow relevant.
