New Pre-Apprenticeship Courses

Hunter TAFEHunter TAFE and local group training companies have formed an exciting new partnership to deliver pre-apprenticeship courses in early 2012.
 

Funded by the Department of Education and Communities through NSW State Training Services, the courses will provide much needed skills and knowledge for an industry facing skills shortages in the Hunter. The programs are designed to provide participants with an insight in apprentice life, and for suitable candidates, a pathway to an apprenticeship. Students will attend TAFE and undertake work experience with local employers.

Courses offered in 2012 include (Click on the links below for flyers) :

- Carpentry at Maitland and Ourimbah TAFEs in partnership with Master Builders Association


- Plumbing at Maitland TAFE in partnership with MBA Newcastle Group Training Pty Ltd


- Electrical at Wyong TAFE in partnership with NovaSkill Work Ready


- Fabrication and Fitting at Gosford in partnership with NovaSkill Work Ready

- Engineering at Belmont and Maitland TAFEs in partnership with HunterNet Group Training Company,

MIGAS Apprentices & Trainees and MEGT Group Training
