Services and Facilities 

Our friendly library staff can help you find the information you need.

The Singleton Campus Library collection contains a range of current resources, selected to support the courses offered at this campus.  These include: books, magazines, DVDs and videos, and newspapers.  Collection strengths are in art, general education, business, managment, office administration, metal fabrication and welding, and information technology.

Course resources not held by Singleton Campus Library can be obtained from another library in the TAFENSW library network.  Please ask library staff.

Classes are welcome and specialist training in library skills, databases and internet research are available on request from the Librarian (for individuals or class groups).  These sessions can be tailored to meet the needs of your students.  The Librarian can also deliver the library skills sessions in your classroom (bookings essential).

The library has seating for a maximum of 10 people at a time: with one group study table and 6 computer workstations.

PHOTOCOPYING AND PRINTING

A photocopier is available for student use.  Cost is 20c per page.

The library computers are connected to a black and white laser printer.  Cost is: first 5 prints for free and then, 20c per page.

Six student use computers, with free internet connection are available during library opening hours.

 Library Books

  • To use the computers you must be a current TAFE student, with a TAFEcard.
  • To access the Internet from campus computers, students and staff must use their DET Portal username and password.  (Supplied in a letter to students shortly after enrolment).
  • To save your work you must bring your own USB Flash Drive, or a CD-R/CD-RW disk.
  • PRINTING - The library charges 20c per page for black and white printing.
  • Colour printing is also available for a fee.
  • Only software installed on the computers may be used.
  • Please check with the Library staff for more information.
