Services and Facilities 

 

Scone Campus Library specialises in agriculture resources.  

Equine resources represent the strongest part of the collection. 

These include books, videos and magazines dealing with horse care and training, showing, jumping, equine medicine, farriery and the racing industry. 

The collection is also growing in the areas of horticulture and veterinary nursing.

 

STUDY FACILITIES

The Library has seating for a maximum of 19 people at a time, with 3 study tables, 3 computer workstations and 2 audio-visual carrels. 

Classes are welcome. 
Booking library facilities is strongly recommended. 
Specialist training in library facilities is available on request from the Librarian.

PHOTOCOPYING AND PRINTING

The photocopier is situated in the library behind the Librarian's desk. 
Students may have items photocopied for them by Library staff on presentation of their TAFEcard. 
Photocopying costs 20c per page which are paid for by tokens available from the Administrative staff.

The Library computers are all connected to a black and white laser printer. 
Students should supply their own disks and only print essential course related material.

STUDENT COMPUTERS

Student use computers and the internet are available on a booking system.

Three student computers are available during library opening hours.

To use the computers you must be a current TAFE student, with a TAFEcard.  It is possible to book in advance.

In periods of heavy usage, students will be limited to booking one hour per day.  Student computers are booked by arrangement with the Librarian on presentation of your student TAFEcard.

Please provide a computer disk and use the virus checker before starting your work.

Printing is available from all student computers for essential course related material.

The computers also provide access to the TAFE Library Catalogue via the Hunter Library Online website.

Internet conditions of use apply, ask Campus Library Staff for details.

All student computers have access to the Internet.
It is preferable that students do not print from the Internet but rather download to their own disks.  Printing from the Internet may be negotiated with the Librarian in certain circumstances.
