Services and Facilities 

The Maitland Campus library collection includes a wide range of information resources in various formats including CD-ROM, books, magazines, DVDs, videos and audio visual materials.

Collection strengths are in:

  • Plumbing
  • Information Technology
  • Hospitality
  • General Education
 

Professional library staff are available to assist staff and students in use of the library and its resources, as well as deliver Information Literacy programs to teach research skills.

ROOMS

Students and staff at Maitland have access to a range of facilities including:

  • Group Study Room and Seminar Room providing access to DVD and video players, overhead projectors and whiteboards.
  • Individual study carrels.

It is advisable to book for all of these facilities.

PHOTOCOPYING

A photocopier is available for student use.  Cost is 10c per page.

A cashier machine is available to add credit to your TAFEcard for photocopying.  It accepts coins only.

No change can be given by library staff.

Student use computers

Student use computers are available for course related work, all with Internet access.

Internet conditions of use apply, ask Campus Library Staff for details.

  1. Bookings of up to 2 hours per day may be made at the Circulation Desk, however you may continue your session if the following time is not booked. 
  2. Bookings are automatically cancelled if you don't arrive within 15 minutes.
  3. To use a computer you will need your TAFEcard.
  4. If you wish to save your work you must bring your own formatted 3.5" disk.
  5. PRINTING - The library charges 10c per page for black and white printing.  This is paid using your TAFEcard.
    Colour printing is also available for 40c per page.

Only software installed on the computers may be used.
