The TAFEcard is a student identification card issued to every student who enrols in a TAFE NSW course. The card displays your photograph, name and student identification number. It also functions as your library card.
It is best to keep your TAFEcard with you at all times. (It's also a good idea to carry your Medicare card with you at all times.) Enrolled TAFE students at Tomaree Education Centre must display their TAFEcard at all times when on campus.
You TAFEcard enables you to:
- Collect your student travel pass,
- Use photocopiers*,
- Access Student Computer Labs,
- Access Disabled Parking (for students with a disability),
- Identify you as a student on TAFE NSW campuses,
- Identify you as a student in final examinations.
Your TAFEcard can be issued from Student Service Centres located at any of the Hunter's 15 campuses. You will need your photograph taken and proof of enrolment. Your TAFEcard will take approximately two weeks to arrive at your home address.
Keep your TAFEcard as it is a permanent ID card which will be re-activated whenever you take up study with TAFE again. Keep your TAFEcard with you at all times.
If your card is lost or destroyed, you will have to pay $20 for a replacement.
*A credit value will need to be added to the card to enable the photocopy facility. Contact Student Services at your campus of study.
