Every new enrolment form has a Student Number. This number becomes your Student Number for the first course you study. TAFE NSW wants you to keep this same number for every other course you study, so that we can merge your records and transfer results by Credit Transfer. Our computer system identifies you by your full name and date of birth.
If you change your name, or the way you write your name, or leave your date of birth off the form, then our computer cannot be sure that you are the same person, and so does not merge your records automatically. You should always use your full name to enrol.
If you notice that some of your transcripts have different student numbers, visit your local Student Services Section at your campus and ask to have your records merged.
