As a medical administrator you will have good computer skills with a strong attention to detail to enter patient information into specialist medical programs; good communication skills with the ability to follow instructions, convey precise information to medical staff and the general public; be discretion, tactful and have the ability to empathise making patients feel comfortable when they may be feeling vulnerable. An essential skill that medical administrators must have is the ability to learn, understand and apply medical terms and the ability to think clearly in potentially stressful situations.
