TAA to TAE upgrade
In order to gain the TAE40110 qualification via a currency Recognition process, participants need to hold TAA40104 (TAFE course number 17081) and be able to demonstrate currency.
This can only be completely demonstrated if you are currently working as a trainer and assessor (must be within the last 24 months).
If you can tick all of the following evidence requirements, this is the pathway for you:
Certified copies of relevant qualifications including transcripts i.e. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAA40104.
Current annotated CV addressing training and assessment experience
Professional Development evidence showing how currency is maintained
Workplace supervisor’s Third Party Report
Additional evidence for elective choices if required
Willingness to participate in a currency conversation to gather evidence if required

In 2015, this LLN unit TAELLN411 will become a core unit in the Training and Assessment Certificate IV TAE40110. You will be issued a Statement of Attainment on completion of this LLN unit.
This unit is delivered in a one day workshop or two evening sessions with the following learning outcomes for participants and their training environments:
identify the core language literacy and numeracy (LLN) needs for learners, using a range of validated assessment tools
learn how to support individual skill levels including accessing relevant support resources and specialists in the workplace and Australian Core Skills Framework
develop suitable learning plans and support strategies to meet learner needs and achieve required core LLN skills
revise learning resources to be LLN appropriate
apply learning support strategies to facilitate full participation and development of required LLN skills
