Statement of Attainment in Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skillsThis course introduces trainers and assessors to core language, literacy and numeracy issues in training and assessment practice.

The course provides you with the skills and knowledge required to recognise the core language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) demands of training and assessment, and to tailor training and assessment to suit individual skill levels, including accessing relevant support resources.

Competence in the unit in this course does not indicate that a person is a qualified specialist adult language, literacy or numeracy practitioner.

Entry Requirements

To complete the practical assessment tasks you will need access to a learner group.

This online course requires learners to have basic computing skills.

You will work step-by-step through online training materials, including videos, interactive activities, and links to a wide range of adult LLN resources. Web recordings will provide advice for completing assessment tasks and customised advice from an experienced LLN specialist can be accessed by email, phone or forum postings.


On completion of this unit, you will have gained strategies for:

* identifying the critical LLN skills embedded in your training and assessment

* determining the LLN needs of your learners

* customising training and assessment practice to meet the individual skill levels of your learners

* developing industry-specific LLN skills, and

* accessing LLN specialist support


You will be issued with a Statement of Attainment on successful completion of the unit TAELLN411 Address Adult LLN Skills.
