Grants
There is a limited number of grants each year for students to support activities which are of demonstrated value to the student and the Institute. The Foundation favours activities which also have a community benefit.
Application for a student grant will be submitted to the Executive Officer and considered by the Members of the Board. The decision of the Hunter Institute Foundation Board is final.
Awards Prizes & Scholarships
Various awards, prizes and scholarships are available to students. These are advertised on noticeboards, by direct mailings and through your teachers and support staff.
Every year teachers nominate students for the Hunter Region Apprentice and Trainee Awards (HRATA). These lead to the NSW Training Awards and progress to the National Training Awards at the end of the year. You do not necessarily need to be an apprentice or trainee - there are the other categories.
