Boost for School Leavers

 
Hunter TAFEBetter Opportunities and Outcomes for School Transition is a pilot program from Hunter TAFE designed to increase career pathways for school leavers and job seekers. Students may apply for a Diploma or Certificate IV course with work placement, to increase learning and improve career opportunities, with leading Hunter businesses.
 
The innovative programs will cover the areas of Accounting, Engineering, Marketing, Information Technology and Business Administration.
 

An increased focus on work placement will assist individuals to achieve fantastic outcomes and allow students to develop and expand their current skills while gaining insight into an actual work environment.
 
The prospect of finishing school and deciding what career to choose can be quite daunting. The aim of this program is to provide students with a formal qualification while increasing their confidence and allowing them a taste of a career in their chosen field with work placement.
 
Programs will commence in early December with initial workshops and then a return to study in early 2012. This training is funded by State Training Services through the Strategic Skills Program (SSP).
 
Information and Enrolment Sessions will be held for the following programs:
 
ü Accounting Diploma Glendale: 14 & 21 November 10am
ü Accounting Diploma Ourimbah: 29 November 5pm
ü Business Administration Certificate IV Newcastle: 23 November 4pm
ü Frontline Management Certificate IV Wyong: 24 November 8.30am
ü Information Technology Support Certificate IV Belmont: 8 December 11am
ü Marketing Certificate IV Newcastle: 23 November 4pm
