Newcastle LibraryNewcastle Campus Library is part of the TAFE NSW Hunter Institute network of 15 campus libraries.

 

The Newcastle Campus collection includes a wide range of information resources in various formats, including books, magazines, DVDs and videos and audio-visual materials.

 

The collection covers a wide range of subject areas including Business, Welfare, Information Technology, General and Basic Education, Engineering and Construction Trades.

 

 

Experienced TAFE library staff are on hand to offer professional assistance with locating information resources and provide training in information searching skills.

Computers

The library has 20 computers available for student assignment use.

Student computers are self-booked, with a limit of two hours per student per day.

6 express student computers are available during library opening hours for 10 minute periods for non-assignment use.

Facilities

Facilities include videoconference and Smartboard equipment.

Library staff are available to assist with using this equipment.

Printing

A multifunctional printer/photocopier is available for use in the library. The following charges apply:
10c per A4 B&W 20c per A3 B&W
30c per A4 colour 60c per A3 colour

Students require their TAFEcard to pay for printing and photocopying.
 

Both coins and notes can be used to charge your TAFEcard in the library.

 

The Hunter Institute is a cash free workplace, and library staff are unable to provide change.
