Hunter TAFE

Hunter TAFE offers product design courses for people who want to enter the industry as a product designer, assistant designer, product design technician or who plan to do further study at Advanced Diploma level.

 

Enrol in this design course to study how to create innovative and successful design solutions. Learn to develop and illustrate product design concepts using sophisticated drawing and rendering techniques and use computer aided programs to illustrate your design concepts.

 

You'll be shown how to discuss and evaluate product technologies and materials in conjunction with creative thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills. You will also develop a marketable portfolio to use for application into higher levels of study, or to seek product design jobs such as an assistant product designer or technician in enterprises such as large manufacturing companies or design studios.

Entry Requirements

The entry requirement for this course is completion of the NSW Higher School Certificate or equivalent e.g. the Certificate III in Design Fundamentals (CUV30303) or the Certificate IV in Design (CUV40303).
