students designing media This Hunter TAFE creative industries course is for students who would like a career in media production. Core units of study as part of this creative industries studies course include critical thinking techniques, working well as part of a team, understanding OH&S policies and procedures and developing and applying creative arts industry knowledge. Optional units of study include performing basic sound editing, assisting with sound and video recordings, mixing sound in a broadcasting environment, assisting with a basic camera shoot, using multimedia and learning how to create, test and play a CD-ROM/DVD and follow a design process. It is strongly recommended that you complete a work placement as part of this course. Once you have gained your certification in this creative industries course, you may want to apply for more advanced Hunter TAFE arts courses or find a job in a community radio or community television setting.
