Music Industry (Introduction) Certificate II

music studentThis course is for HSC students who want to study an introductory music industry course at TAFE NSW under the TVET program as part of their HSC. Hunter TAFE offers music industry courses for people wanting a career in the music business. This course is for people who want to develop entry-level skills and knowledge for working in the music industry and to pursue further music industry training at Certificate III level. The program will help you to develop a variety of skills and knowledge including a basic knowledge of music, the performing arts and creative arts industries. You will also learn to work safely and effectively with others. A range of electives are offered, allowing you to acquire further skills and/or knowledge in music literacy, musical performance, band or artist management or audio/sound production. There are no specific music industry jobs that you will necessarily be eligible for after this course but work may be found as a road crew member, or performer at a local community level.
