
Hunter TAFE offers this construction pathways course for students with an interest in the building & construction industry. This TAFE construction course takes the form of either 120 or 240 hours of study with additional optional hours in a particular specialisation. A work placement is also a mandatory requirement of the training. The core units of this building course include using and working with construction tools and equipment, working safely in a construction environment and understanding OH&S policies and procedures. Optional units of study include working with carpentry tools and equipment, interpreting house plans and specifications, and wall and floor tiling. Following completion of this building construction course you may want to apply for more advanced Hunter TAFE construction courses or find an apprenticeship in your chosen area of the building industry.
