Hunter TAFE offers this construction pathways course for students with an interest in the building & construction industry. This TAFE construction course takes the form of either 120 or 240 hours of study with additional optional hours in a particular specialisation. A work placement is also a mandatory requirement of the training. The core units of this building course include using and working with construction tools and equipment, working safely in a construction environment and understanding OH&S policies and procedures. Optional units of study include working with carpentry tools and equipment, interpreting house plans and specifications, and wall and floor tiling.
