Design Fundamentals TVET

design students Hunter TAFE's design course is for students who are interested in art and would like to eventually work in the graphic, fashion or interior design industry. This design studies course will provide you with the fundamental skills to become a designer. Core units as part of this designing course include developing, refining and communicating concepts for your own design work and understanding OH&S policies and procedures.

Optional modules of study for this designer course include learning typography techniques for design work, making scale models, selecting and preparing work for exhibition, preparing text and graphic files for print processing, graphic design techniques and researching and applying methods for the design of clothes and jewellery.

Careers in design often demand advanced levels of training and qualifications so you may want to consider enrolling in higher-level design courses following your graduation.
