metal workingThese engineering studies courses are specifically structured for Year 11 and Year 12 students who want to include subjects from TAFE NSW courses as part of their HSC study program. This qualification is particularly for people who want to work in the Metals and Engineering industry, in roles as diverse as engineers and mechanics, to technology design and production. This engineering course enables students to develop a broad range of skills and knowledge appropriate for entry level workers in any of the sectors within the metal, engineering, civil engineering and related service industries. While this course provides training for persons at every level in the manufacturing, engineering and related industries, it is possible to achieve Certificate II in Engineering (MEM20105) depending upon the units of competency undertaken. It will provide advanced standing in higher level courses in the field, leading to potential careers in the fields of engineering design, production and technology systems.

Important Information

Industry Curriculum Framework Course: This course may count towards an ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank) if you study it for 2 years consecutively. You would then need to sit the HSC exam to be eligible for an ATAR.
