Aviation - Aircraft Operation (Theory) Results Transcript (TVET)

Hunter TAFEHunter TAFE aviation courses cover the basics of aircraft operation and are ideal for high school students with a general interest in the aviation industry. Enrol in this aviation course to learn a variety of skills related to flying and working with commercial and private aircraft.

Subjects include how to calculate the take-off and landing performance of an aircraft, how to calculate the in-flight performance of an aircraft, determining the maximum payload/fuel that can be carried on a flight, compiling a load sheet for a multi-stage flight, understanding the maintenance procedures that can be carried out by a commercial pilot and interpreting radio navigation aid displays and using the data to solve in-flight navigation problems. Students interested in further aviation training and education could look into the possibility of aviation school following completion of this course.

There are a number of careers in aviation for course graduates to consider, including working as a pilot, in air traffic control or as an aircraft engineer.
