Engineering - Advanced Trade Diploma

engineering Hunter TAFE's diploma of engineering course is for students who have completed a Certificate III or IV in an engineering trade, seeking to expand their knowledge and skill level to achieve a higher qualification. Enrolling in this engineering course will give apprentices the expertise of an advanced trade person, able to work at the uppermost industry trade level. This engineering diploma will teach you how to apply skills learnt from each module directly back to your work. Engineers will cover a range of subjects which incorporate electrical work, workplace communication, OH&S, quality procedures systems and planning, engineering measurement, computations and computer technology which you can custom design around your own advanced industry-specific skills. After completing our engineering courses, you may be eligible to enrol in other related training. Career opportunities arising from this award include advanced engineering tradesperson at level C5 under the Metal, Engineering and Associated Industries Award.

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements for this qualification. However, it is assumed that the learner is either already a tradesperson with access to structured on and off-the-job training, or is an apprentice under an Australian Apprenticeship arrangement where the mix of on and off-the-job training would be specified in the Training Plan associated with the Contract of Training between the employer and apprentice.
