Hunter TAFE's asbestos removal course is ideal for people who are working in building or demolition industries where safe asbestos removal may be required. Every building contractor should enrol in this asbestos removal training short course before commencing asbestos removal work and meet the mandated legislative training requirements. Students of this unit will learn the awareness needed for the testing and management of asbestos on building sites. You will also learn the safe asbestos removal procedures in order to provide a healthy working environment for yourself and your colleagues. Asbestos is a dangerous cost to human health and should be treated with skill and care, which you will learn in this unit. This course meets the requirements specified in the WorkCover NSW Code of Practice in relation to asbestos removal NOHSC: 2002 (1988). Graduates can seek employment opportunities in asbestos removal in building and demolition industries.
