Horse Industry Practice (Performance Horse)

horse industry practice performance horseHunter TAFE's specialist horse training courses enable students to develop their natural equine skills for the performance horse industry. This Certificate IIl award entails working with horses and equipment under limited supervision and is tailor-made for senior horse grooms, stable foremen and stud hands. Learn how to employ a wide range of horse trainer work methods in stables, studs and on track, including handling, feeding, grooming, riding and caring for all performance horses except breeding stallions. You will also learn how to exercise, care and prepare horses for competition. After you have completed this horse training course, you may be eligible to undertake a Diploma of Horse Industry Management. Career opportunities that lead from this award include senior horse groom, stable foreman or stud hand working under limited supervision in the horse industry.
