This Hunter TAFE responsible gambling course is aimed at people committed to responsible gambling services, as well as those who are currently employed in a licensed gambling facility and who are required to undertake the course under the NSW Gaming Machines Regulations 2002 Act. Enrol in this course if you would like to work in licensed gaming venues, such as registered clubs, hotels or casinos in NSW, as gaming attendants or as bar attendants in a licensed gambling section of a hospitality venue. Due to the NSW Liquor Act and the NSW Gaming Machines Act, students need to be 18 years of age or older if they are undertaking modules that involve the service of alcohol and gaming operations. This responsible gambling training course gives students skills and knowledge in responsible conduct while providing responsible gaming services in Australia, with a focus on developing a positive attitude to gambling in the hospitality industry; teaching students how to minimise harm and exclusion for customers; and how to use their discretion and judgement with customers who have a gambling problem.
