Hunter TAFE's life drawing classes are for people interested in improving their sketch skills and learning new techniques in the TAFE studio. This life drawing intensive course looks at re-enactment or re-investigation of the works by Artemesia Gentileschi and Paula Rego. The life model will be set up to re-enact these classical and contemporary art works. You will be able to re-interpret the works in large format drawing using mixed media (charcoal/ink/graphic/gesso) to produce a series of large figurative works. Proportion, composition, construction and tonal rendering techniques will be discussed and individually developed during the 18 hours of this life drawing class. Upon completion of this course you may like to investigate other forms of visual art with TAFE art courses in disciplines such as painting and ceramics, utilising a wide range of materials and models. Great for the budding artist!
