This course is one of a selection of land management courses offered by Hunter TAFE aimed at people with an interest in rural environments and the natural world. Units of study included as part of this certificate in conservation and land management are, community coordination and facilitation, land parks and wildlife, Indigenous land management, restoration of the natural area, weed management and vertebrate pest management. This environmental management course is a great way of gaining a solid foundation for a future career in the conservation industry. The type of work you could look for after undergoing land management training includes working as a skilled operator for local or state government, or as an employee of an environmental organisation. After you have completed this land management course you may wish to speak to your Hunter TAFE education provider about articulation into other conservation and land management courses.
