Provides the training required by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority(AMSA) for all crew members of an ocean going vessel working offshore or ininternational waters. You will be studying theory, jumping in a pool from 3metres, righting a life raft, working as a team to control and fight fires,donning immersion suits and learning how to preserve life at sea.The following four units are compulsory:- TDMMF1007B - Provide elementary first aid;- TDMMF1107B - Survive at sea in the event of vessel abandonment;- TDMMF5607A - Observe personal safety and social responsibilities;- TDMMF6207A - Prevent, control and fight fires on board an ocean-going vessel.Those who have already successfully completed the unit TDMMF1007B - ElementaryFirst Aid, may apply for recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).If successful you may attend HLTFA301B - Apply first aid (Senior First Aid)instead.There is no refund of any fee if RPL is successful.
