
Landscape courses at Hunter TAFE offer relevant, practical experience that allows students to develop the skills used in the workplace. Select this landscape course if you wish to enter the the horticulture industry as an assistant to a tradesperson landscaper. This course is also suitable for people who may be seeking employment as an apprentice landscaper or who may intend to progress to a trade level qualification in horticulture. You will learn about constructing and renovating garden landscapes such as in private gardens and public parks and reserves. You will learn about plant management and how to recognise plants, plant trees and shrubs, prune shrubs and small trees, establish turf and renovate graded areas and install irrigation and drainage systems. On successful completion of this course you can articulate to the Horticulture (Landscape) - Certificate III course or find employment as a landscaping assistant, landscape worker, paving or surfacing worker.
