Fitness Certificate IV

students in gym Hunter TAFE's personal trainer courses are aimed at people working, or who want to work, in the fitness industry. Enrol in this personal training course and gain skills working with a variety of individuals and groups as a fitness instructor in a broad range of health settings. Candidates will need to be fit, as a large component of this course included physical activity with exercise and weights. Graduates can get advanced standing in other Certificate IV qualifications in Sport and Recreation, or may continue studies in the Diploma of Fitness. Please note, you may be required to be in physical contact with other students or simulated clients in a gym, this activity is practiced in accordance with industry codes of practice and ethics. This qualification offers career opportunities as a fitness leader or trainer specialising in personal training or specific client groups.
