Animal Studies TAFE courses are for people wanting further study in animal care. Build on your animal training and knowledge with experience in a variety of workplaces, covering skills such as animal care hygiene routines, maintaining and monitoring animal health, planning nutritional requirements and learning to comply with infection control policies.
It's highly recommended that you take on a period of work experience while doing this animal course to allow you to use what you have learnt and increase your experience.
This qualification prepares you for a job as an animal care receptionist/support officer, animal control and regulation assistant, animal shelter assistant, animal health officer in indigenous communities or as an assistant animal welfare officer.
You may also consider continuing your animal studies with higher qualifications in animal technology, captive animals, companion animal services and veterinary nursing.
