If you enjoy animal studies, enrol in this program to gain experience working with animals and discover an entry point into the animal care industry. You'll develop the skills and knowledge required for the care and maintenance of animals be able to catch and handle a range of animals, feed and water them, complete animal care hygiene routines, assist in the health care of animals and communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues. Whilst doing TAFE animal courses, it's recommended you seek work experience in an animal care workplace to be able to practise the skills you have learnt. Entry Requirements

Pathways for candidates considering this qualification include: - direct entry, including VET in Schools - after achieving ACM10110 Certificate I in Animal Studies - limited vocational training and/or work experience This qualification is suited to Australian Apprenticeship pathways. It is recommended that whilst undertaking this qualification, the learner have access to an animal care workplace.
