Course Details
student writing animal report Hunter TAFE offers animal courses for people who'd like a career in the veterinary, animal care or welfare world. If you enjoy animal studies, enrol in this program to gain experience working with animals and discover an entry point into the animal care industry. 
 
You'll develop the skills and knowledge required for the care and maintenance of animals be able to catch and handle a range of animals, feed and water them, complete animal care hygiene routines, assist in the health care of animals and communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues. 
 
Whilst doing TAFE animal courses, it's recommended you seek work experience in an animal care workplace to be able to practise the skills you have learnt. By completing this animal training course, you are preparing for jobs such as an animal attendant or animal carer in a dog kennel, animal shelter or pet shop.
