horse grooming This entry level horse training course is for people who want to work as a stablehand in the horse racing industry. Enrol to become a stablehand working with horses in a thoroughbred racing stable under the direction of a horse trainer or stable foreman. You'll learn to work as part of a team and also autonomously to care for the animals and keep them in top form meeting their individual needs of feeding, grooming, exercising and transporting to and from the track. You will learn how to care for a performance horse and how to keep their environment safe, clean and hygienic. Further your studies after this course with advanced standing in Racing (Advanced Stablehand) Certificate III or Racing (Trackrider) Certificate III. Career opportunities after this course include a stablehand for a thoroughbred racing stable.
