
This diploma of fitness is for people who'd like to join the fitness industry or become an exercise trainer or instructor. Enrol in this Hunter TAFE fitness certificate to learn how to plan and coordinate sport and recreation programs and fitness classes, as well as working with health professionals for clients at moderate risk. Develop your skills in business, leisure and sport, legal, risk management and how to apply theoretical fitness training concepts to a range of situations. You'll also learn vital skills in customer relations and supervising staff, environmental performance and project management. Completion of this course gives you credit for units within other TAFE Sport and Recreation Diplomas, including Facility Management, Outdoor Recreation, Sport and Recreation and Athlete Support Services. Career paths leading from this course include operations manager, program manager and fitness specialist.

Local Entry Requirements Students need to have completed the Certificate III and Certificate IV in Fitness prior to enrolling into the Diploma. Some classes may be repeated in the evening to allow for students who have day time work commitments. Delivery InformationStudents must complete 200 hours of field experience, at TAFE and within industry, in specific areas including strength and conditioning, working with allied health professionals and working with fitness professionals.
