Youth Work Certificate IV

youth work Hunter TAFE offers youth work courses for people who facilitate youth programs. Enrol in this course for careers in a range of community programs aimed at helping young people and their social, behavioural, health, welfare, developmental and protection needs. This youth work training will develop your communication skills and cover topics such as community and social development, empowerment of young people, cultural diversity and crisis management. After completion of this certificate you may wish to further your studies with advanced standing in other Certificate and Diploma TAFE courses. Career options after this training include community development worker, indigenous youth worker, recreational youth activities officer, residential care worker and youth case worker.

A compulsory Orientation session will be held on Tuesday 7th February 2012 for successful applicants. It is a requirement of workplace that students provide a current Police check prior to undertaking work placement for this course.

Delivery Information

This course incorporates class and practical application. Classes occur across 3 days on a variety of different combination of days. This will be discussed at the orientation session. First classes for successful applicants will be from the week commencing Monday 13th February 2012.
