childrens services early childhood education care This diploma of children's services is for child services workers who are seeking a management role with responsibility for planning and implementing early childhood programs. Enrol in this children's services course to become a successful director or service manager for child services centre-based care.

Expand your knowledge of licensing, accreditation and duty of care requirements and advance your human resource skills to effectively supervise staff and volunteers.

After you graduate from this course, you can gain credit for units common to other studies within the Community Services Training Package and may receive advanced standing for university early childhood courses.

Some career options from this program include qualified child care worker, team leader, group leader, program leader, service/centre manager, service director, children's adviser, child development worker or special needs inclusive worker. Note that under the Children's Services Regulation 2004 you cannot be employed in Children's Services until you are 18 years of age.

New Fee arrangement: Under arrangements with the Australian Government, TAFE NSW will waive the TAFE NSW fee for eligible students enrolled in CHC50908 Diploma of Children’s Services (Early Childhood Education and Care) TAFE NSW course no: 18208 from 1 January 2009.  This fee waiver (for compulsory fees) will apply to new and continuing eligible students undertaking the qualification either by full-time or part-time study.
