leisure health Hunter TAFE offers leisure and health courses for people who want to work in the health and fitness industry. Enrol in this course for a wide range of career options within residential facilities, community agencies or day centres. You'll learn how to help design, implement and evaluate health and leisure or therapy programs for people, as well as communication and the safety, ethical and legal considerations relevant to these services. Following this course you may with to apply for advanced standing in other Certificate IV and Diploma qualifications in community services areas from aged care and disability work to community welfare and youth work. You may also be eligible for study in related courses outside TAFE. Work placement will require a suitable criminal record check at a cost of up to $60. TAFE staff will arrange work placement. There may be immunisation requirements depending upon where the work placement is conducted.

NSW School Certificate (or equivalent statement from another educational authority). Relevant life and work experience may also be considered.
