This alcohol and other drugs course is for workers who provide support and care in a range of alcohol and drug treatment services as well as those implementing health programs and promotion in the community.
Your training will include basic counseling and intervention skills, how to assess and plan cases and referring clients with alcohol and drug abuse issues.
Please note those who enrol in the Apply First Aid unit must be physically able to perform basic life support skills.
Completing this qualification gives you advanced standing into a number of units of competency in Certificate IV and Diploma qualifications.
The program may lead to a role as a case worker, community support worker, detoxification worker, drug and alcohol worker, family support worker or outreach worker.
