Disability Certificate III

disabilityHunter TAFE offers a range of disability courses. These particular studies are tailored to those wanting work in disability support in the community or as a care provider in a residential facility.

You'll develop an understanding of health and emotional wellbeing, behavioral support, community participation and inclusion. Upon completion you may be eligible for advanced standing in the Disability Certificate IV and have completed some units required for entry into the Disability Diploma and other certificate qualifications.

This disability course is considered an entry level requirement to work in community and/or residential disability services, with career options including accommodation support worker, assistant in nursing, community care worker, disability support officer, respite care worker and residential care support worker. Those who enrol in the Apply First Aid unit must be physically able to perform basic life support skills.
