Aged Care Certificate III

aged careHunter TAFE offers a range of aged care courses. This program is for those working in or wishing to gain employment in services for the elderly. From a career in residential aged care facilities, to community health roles, this aged care training will show you how to communicate with and provide care and support for older people. You'll learn about aged care facilities for a career as a personal care assistant, nurse assistant or care worker. Please note those who enrol in the Apply First Aid unit must be physically able to perform basic life support skills. If clinical placement in a medical facility is part of this course, you may need occupational screening and vaccinations. On successful completion of this aged care course, you may apply or get advanced standing in other TAFE aged care courses including Diploma courses in Community Services, Community Welfare Work and others.
