
Hunter TAFE offers catering courses to provide you with the skills necessary for catering events with class. Enrol in this catering course if you dream of a career within the dynamic hospitality and event management industry. Discover how to produce quality goods and develop your skills in cooking, organising, preparing and presenting food. You'll also be learning strategies for planning and controlling menu-based catering and promoting goods and services to customers. After successful completion of this course, you may wish to continue your catering training with eligibility to enrol in Certificate IV or other commercial cookery and hospitality courses. You'll receive credits for relevant units of competency from other qualifications in the Tourism, Hospitality and Events Training Package. This course can see you enter into a catering career as a cook, leading hand or food service assistant.
