Hunter TAFEThis course is for people who want to be employed in a tourism office where the planning of tourism products and services takes place; in the field where tourism products are delivered such as a tour operator or a combination of both. 

You will develop skills in tourism sales, operations and tour delivery.

People seeking to enrol in the unit of competency HLTFA301B, Apply first aid are advised that to successfully complete the unit they must be able to perform basic life support skills, for example control bleeding and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

People who have a disability that would prevent them from performing required basic life support skills are advised that they will not be able to achieve the unit of competency.

 

 

Career Opportunities include - Reservation sales agent, operations consultant, attendant or guide in a museum or attraction, cellar door salesperson and guide in a winery, guide and salesperson in an Indigenous cultural centre.

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements for this qualification. The NSW Liquor and Gaming Regulation require students to be 18 years of age or older if they are undertaking units of competency that involve the service of alcohol and/or gaming operations. To comply with these legislative requirements, students must be 18 years of age or older to undertake the following units in this course: SITHFAB003A Serve food and beverage to customers SITHFAB004A Provide food and beverage service to customers SITHFAB005A Provide table service of alcoholic beverages SITHFAB009A Provide responsible service of alcohol SITHFAB222A Conduct a product tasting for alcohol beverages
