Purchasing

purchasing Hunter TAFE's purchasing courses have been designed for individuals who are responsible for purchasing and supply in an industry, business or organisational setting. Enrol in this course if you work in contract management or procurement and wish to further your purchasing skills. When you complete this course you may be eligible to increase your level of expertise in the Diploma of Purchasing, a qualification for those who have responsibility for managing the purchase activities within an organisation, or a range of Diploma qualifications. Graduates can seek work as a procurement officer, purchasing and inventory administrator, purchasing assistant, purchasing clerk, purchasing officer or stock control officer who reports to a manager.

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements for this qualification. Pathways into the qualification Preferred pathways for candidates considering this qualification include: - BSB30107 Certificate III in Business or other relevant qualification/s OR - with vocational experience in assisting purchasing managers or coordinators to conduct purchasing activities but without formal purchasing qualifications. Examples of indicative job roles for candidates seeking entry based upon their vocational experience include: - Accounts Clerk - Administrative Officer - Customer Service Advisor - Personal Assistant - Small Business Assistant - Student Services Officer. This breadth of expertise would equate to the competencies required to undertake this qualification.
