Industrial Electronics and Control Certificate IV

electronics equipment This industrial electronics course is for people seeking careers as Special Class Electricians, including those undertaking an apprenticeship in the science and digital technology fields. The electronics training you will receive provides national competencies to enable you to select, install, commission, fault-find and maintain electrical and instrumentation equipment and resources in buildings and premises, and instrumentation systems and core instrumentation equipment for process and control. It includes national Electrical Regulatory Authorities Council (ERAC) requirements for an 'Electrician's licence'. Upon completion of this course you may choose to further your education with electronic courses focusing on areas including electronic engineering, instrumentation and/or control engineering.

There are no formal educational requirements for entry to this course. However, the Electrotechnology Training Package recommends typical language, literacy and numeracy skill levels needed to successfully complete each Competency Standard Unit undertaken.
