Electrical-Instrumentation Certificate IV

electronic equipment Hunter TAFE's electrical instrumentation courses are for people wanting Special Class Electrician jobs, including those currently undertaking an apprenticeship.

The electrical instrumentation training you will receive provides national competencies to enable you to select, install, commission, fault-find and maintain electrical and instrumentation equipment in buildings and premises and instrumentation systems and core instrumentation equipment for process and control. It includes national Electrical Regulatory Authorities Council (ERAC) requirements for an 'Electrician's licence'.

Upon completion of this course you may choose to undertake further study in areas including Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electronics or as an Electrotechnology Technician.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal educational requirements for entry to this course. However, the Electrotechnology Training Package recommends typical language, literacy and numeracy skill levels needed to successfully complete each Competency Standard Unit undertaken. Learners should either be in relevant employment or have access to appropriate simulated workplace environments to achieve the completion requirements of this course.
