Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Certificate III

refrigeration air con students Hunter TAFE's refrigeration and air-conditioning courses are designed for those undertaking a refrigerator and air conditioner apprenticeship and others employed in the industry. During this course you will be learning to select, install, commission, maintain, fault-find and repair refrigeration and air conditioning components and systems in domestic, commercial and/or industrial applications. This qualification meets the NSW Office of Fair Trading's licensing requirements for issuing "Qualified Supervisor's Certificate - Refrigeration and/or Air Conditioning". This permits the holder to work unsupervised on refrigeration and/or air conditioning systems and associated electrical work. It also meets the federal Ozone Protection and Synthetic Greenhouse Gas Management Regulations 1995 and its 2005 Amendment requirements for the Full Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Licence, which is required to handle a refrigerant for any work in the refrigeration industry, other than automotive industry. Successful completion of this course will give you the technical skills to work as a refrigeration and air conditioning mechanic.
